On October 1st at 93 Feet East in London, Gigue Production presents Sedef Sebüktekin in a special acoustic performance. For the very first time in London, the Turkish singer‑songwriter—known for her dreamy sound and emotionally rich songs like “Kayboluyorum” (featured on Netflix’s The Protector)—invites you into her intimate musical world. Let her heartfelt melodies and quiet intensity guide your night.
Who is Sedef Sebüktekin?
Sedef Sebüktekin was born in Istanbul. She started playing drums in high school and simultaneously began composing on guitar and performing her own songs. During her university years, she took her first step in sharing her music by recording one-minute songs called “Kısalar”—short tracks she composed, recorded, and released weekly from her bedroom.
In 2015, her performance of Canozan’s song “Bul Beni” at Sofar Istanbul brought her to the attention of a wider audience. She continued her musical journey in 2016–2017 with tracks like “Hayalin Kadar,” “Deli Değilsin,” and “Bugün İçicem,” all recorded at home and reflecting her intimate, self-contained style.
Between 2017–2018, she began blending electronic elements into her sound with songs such as “Sen İstersin,” “Seni Uyurken İzlemek,” and “Kayboluyorum,” while also continuing to produce acoustic tracks like “Günler Kısa.” Her song “Kayboluyorum” was featured in The Protector—Netflix’s first Turkish original series—in 2018. She followed up with singles like “Ara” in 2019 and “Unutmam Lazım,” “Gözün Doysun,” and “Uzaktan” in 2020.
In January 2021, she collaborated with Nova Norda, Birkan Nasuhoğlu, and Canozan on the 8-track album “Evde,” recorded in just 21 days. In March of the same year, she released her solo single “Çıplak.”
The artist continues to share songs that invite listeners into a melancholic, dreamy state of mind.
