ROY'S WIFE are a four piece outfit born out of a string of events that happened in August which involved a homeless person, a guitar with four strings, a book on dogs, a miniature top hat, a very large top hat, and some underground sparkle from Shoredich's cobbled backstreets! ...3 days later a marriage was consummated amongst the flora of a tropical forest located on an land arc in Hackney- and Royswife was born! The vocals of Royswife are delivered in passionate soft whispers, cello intro's and riffs, a backline machine of bass and drums driving the ship with power and tact, which is gathered together by the captain of the ship and musical wizard. Comparable to a cross between Zero 7, Goldfrapp, Lily Allen, and Tori Amos ~ you can't not get engaged by the sounds projected from this spread of influences.
VEKTA SIGMA
At just 22, JOE HOOD'S individual, somewhat indefinable style has garnered him a cult following on the live circuit and his brilliant music rightly seems now destined to come to more prominent attention. In the last six months he has composed for Channel 4, worked at Strongroom with Lee Slater (who has previously worked with the Klaxons, the Guillemots and Late of The Pier), and been featured in Music Week's Top Ten London Songwriters.
TEN MINUTE CLOUD have found their voice by self-releasing and promoting their debut album 'Stories in 747' in 2007. The record made them an internationally known band, attracting a massive on-line audience. On the 14th of May 2009, this truly original London based three-piece launches their follow up record 'Lobo'. Inspired by Brazilian rhythms the album embraces sensual, soulful vocal melodies resonating with an intriguing rockabilly/classical driven guitar sound.
