FUTURECOP! met at University and have remained friends, sharing a passion for 80s pop culture, retro sci-fi and fantasy, which has evolved into Futurecop! After University, Peter was busy djing, while Manzur locked himself away in his room with the ambition of creating electronic melodies and power chords music inspired by his childhood. 'At the beginning it was frustrating, but through it all I had the strong motivation to create a sound and style which I believed in, to symbolize my daydreams of retro sci-fi and fantasy. We don't make music to try and impress anyone; its just having fun and creating a sound and image that we feel passionate about.'

THE SWING MOVEMENT 2008 saw them play the In The City festival in Manchester, support a host of acts ranging from Yeasayer to Team Waterpolo to Pendulum and an airing on one of Match of the Days esteemed montages. However there is more to The Swing Movement than music. Along the way they have rafted down the River Wharfe on a mattress and set a quiet London suburb alight. Musically, support has come from Huw Stephens of Radio 1 fame, who said 'it was the best demo I received all week.'

Whilst totting up airmiles WRONG TOM often stops off to entertain C-list celebrity aftershows with a hot selection of sea shanties and B-more bootlegs before schmoozing up the nearest A&R man for some remix work. Sometimes he stays in his hotel room working on ill fated film scripts, but ultimately returns home as he knows his place; behind a mixing desk producing anything from dislocated dub to chart topping indie-pop.
