THE BIG DIRTY
THE HELMHOLTZ RESONATORS are 5 musicians who met at university whilst studying acoustic science. The work of Hermann Helmholtz, particularly the book 'On the wires of our nerves' is essential reading for anyone interested in the science of sound and sound synthesis. The band, was not formed until a few years later, when Garland Vanderbilt discovered an old Burg organ in a skip and telephoned Carlton Breezy and Chladni Plates to help with rescuing this relic. Having installed it in their studio they were thrilled to find it still worked and sounded great.
THE EDUCATION are a rampant three piece from Cornwall. One poet. One producer. One rock solid beats man. What they've said about us... "Stars light your mind is a storm trooper of a track by a band that know no limits... "The Education, as you can tell from their name, aren't short on confidence. They come with an aim to show you the way. that is to nu-rave Valhalla. Having preceeded, lived through and survived the nu-rave trend, they're now on a three man crusade to spread their house-rave-d n b-punk far and wide."

Steve Thompson, aka BLABBERMOUTH, grew up on the South Coast of England.
One afternoon he explored the depths of the loft and happened upon the classical guitar he was encouraged to learn but didn't. After an ignominious semi-career in a range of bands whilst at art school, armed with a guitar he'd finally learned to play Steve went solo in 2006. In 2008 Hobgoblin Records released the debut album, 'Blabbermouth - My Dancing Heart', which received excellent reviews. The success of the album led to a series of festival appearances including with Seth Lakeman at The Crawley Folk Festival and Show of Hands at The Wadebridge Folk Festival.
TAL JAMES
ALEXIRA
Guitarist/singer/songwriter ALAN LACROIX was born in South London in 1965. In 2006 he began writing specifically for solo acoustic guitar developing a combination of classical techniques and open tunings. Live performances have since taken place in London at venues such as The Electroacoustic Club, Bedsprings, Broken Toy Music, Freedom of Expression, IK:Toms and the Troy Bar.
