JOHNNYGONEHOME sing songs about frustration and plaster, jaunting around North East London with their mix of Balkan Beats and blues. When the brief Last Man disbanded, Lee Squire was finally persuaded to sing in front of people. Gradually the acoustic sound developed into the "sticky" electric noise you hear before you.
PLAYER PIANO sounds like a more lazily delivered, more articulate, Julian Casablancas crossed with the baritone depth of John Grant from The Czars. Instrument-wise by the time the piano flourishes kick in on Mad Dog there are reminders of Ben Folds and Ed Harcourt.
THE DAYLIGHT FADED are a dynamic, young, unrelenting 3-piece band. The music is epic, raw, melodic, passionate, inspired by artists as diverse as Jeff Buckley, Bad Plus, Pearl Jam, Tool, Otis Redding. Together these dedicated musicians produce a focused fusion, in which they strive to be as honest, as exciting and as passionate as their peers. The four key elements of the band are Lee's vicious use of acoustic guitars through valve amps, a voice with power, poise and passion, from tear filled whispers to roaring thunder, Darren's sweeping double bass, and Carl's thundering technical drumming.
CAPULETS Stark mix of European folk, primal drums and a twisted indie-pop heart joyfully deviating itself from the norm ~ an interesting clash of sounds which might brighten up the usual quagmire of indie rock repetitiveness...

TABITHA BENJAMIN As Olly says - "Angelic cockneyed lilting magnificence. A voice like brandy in a breezy cornfield sprouting once more after the apocalypse has ended all life but a small colony of way-fairing survivors. Plays Ukulele better than your great granddad who was in the circus too" ...or something.
RUPERT & RUTH
Son of a travelling musician, JON BILBROUGH grew up crawling around studio leads with a backdrop of guitars, African drums, Doumbeks & thumb pianos. Rather than travelling a well worn musical path Jon's head was bursting with Bhangra rhythms, Sufi-style singing and Bollywood riffs and he began to translate this through voice and guitar. The outcome is something wholly enchanting, 5 tracks of weathered gritty guitar and startling exotic arrangements, all driven by Jon's powerful and emotive voice.
AKSDM is made up of Alex Ks and Darren Martin-they started out as 2 singer/songwriters but have collaborated their acoustic, folk, country, blues and rock influences to create marvelous musical melodies.
